" Kodak Box Hawk-Eye Cameras "
The Boston Camera Company was the original owner of the Hawk-Eye camera until the Blair Camera Company bought them in 1890.

Hawk-Eye cameras then changed hands again in 1907 when Eastman Kodak bought Blair which was then changed into a division of Kodak called The Blair Camera Division after the plant was relocated to Rochester, NY. The cameras continued to be produced as Hawk-Eyes but after the end of World War One most of these were made for premium sales only and unfortunately were not always listed in catalogues.

Some models were made in the UK from 1927-39, including models designed in and for the UK. The No 2 Hawkette was the first all plastic Kodak camera. The hyphen was dropped from the name making Hawk-Eye into Hawkeye for later models.

	Stock No 3145 Kodak No 2 Cartridge Hawk-Eye Model B c1924-34? Box camera of metal construction, double view finders. 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" on 120 rollfilm. ~ Good condition. Asking Price $45.00
	Stock No 236 Kodak No 2 Cartridge Hawk-Eye "C" c1924-34? Box camera of cardboard construction, single view finder. ~ Fair to good condition, with edge of covering lifting on back. Asking Price $30.00
	Stock No 2272 Kodak No 2 Cartridge Hawk-Eye "C" c1924-34? Box camera of cardboard construction, single view finder. ~ Fair condition, the film winder is missing. Asking Price $15.00
	Stock No 2167 Kodak No 2 Cartridge Hawk-Eye "C" c1924-34? Box camera of cardboard construction, single view finder. ~ Good condition. Asking Price $30.00
	Stock No 2870 Kodak No 2 Cartridge Hawk-Eye "C.C." This is not a generic box Brownie, but is a UK made Hawk-Eye, Model C.C. A wood and card body, covered with attractive course grained leatherette, this camera does not show in the catalogues was presumably made for either a specific promotion(as many Hawkeyes were) or for export. Made in the mid 1930's, and is a truly rare camera. It has a "flip/flop" everset shutter and single viewfinder. It still has its leather carry strap, which unlike other Hawkeye models, carries only the ID " Hawk-Eye", rather than "Cartridge" Hawkeye. That initself makes it unusual, but it also carries a colourful sticker inside, not identifying the camera, but indicating the type of film the camera uses. Here again this becomes a very unusual Kodak camera, as while the sticker says use SIX-20 film, this camera will also accept 120 film, thereby indicating it may be an earlier model remaned for a specific purpose. The camera is in quite good cosmetic shape, the leatherette covering complete and in good nick. The cheap nickle work on claps and such show some sorrosion, and internally there is some rust. 	Stock No 1749 No2 Portrait Hawk-Eye "Star" Coloured Grey, the strap is not original. c1930. Uses 620 film for 2 1/4 x 3 1/4. ~ Good condition.
	Stock No 2664 Portrait No 2 Hawk-Eye Complete with the original strap. c1930. Made in England. Uses 120 film. ~ Good condition.
	Stock No 1748 Rainbow Hawk-Eye No2 Model C Coloured Red, the strap is original (although fragile). c1929-33. Uses 120 film for 2 1/4 x 3 1/4. ~ Good condition.
	Stock No 1822 Brownie No 2 Hawk-Eye Model C This is a No 2 Cartridge Hawk-Eye Model C. Made in 1929, it is from the UK, and comes in its distinctive green and white original box. The camera is probably NOT MINT,it is over 75 years old, and no matter what it cannot be "as new". The Hawk-Eyes of this era were for use mainly as premium items for some form of competition or giveaway. This one has not a scratch on the leaterette covering. It is solid and still retains its form. There is not a mark on the metal bits, they are still shiny and no rust at all. The handle/carry strap on this camera is literally as new!. The box shows some signs of its age and of storage, but it is complete , and also looks good. To top it all off, the camera uses the still readily available 120 rollfilm, so you could laod it up and shoot a roll if you wish. ~ The camera is a clean internally as it is on the outside and very usable. $90.00
	Stock No 2023 Six-16 Target Hawkeye Made in the mid 30's, A Six-16 Target Hawkeye camera. Large box camera taking 616 film. Covered in imitation "Reptile skin" leatherette in a rich BROWN colour. Hard to find Kodak camera. ~ Very Good condition, covering complete and unmarked. Paintwork has minor wear. Missing carry strap. $50.00
